A walk around Buttonwood Park turned into a yard sale shopping trip this weekend- and why shouldn't it have?  It was a nice day and perfect out-for-a-walk weather.  It only made sense to keep exploring the area.  Luckily for me, my walk yielded quite the little, upholstered find!    It wasn't anything immediately eye catching, but the little boy who was selling his "Thinking Chair" made it an irresistible purchase. This tiny salesman was just too cute to turn down.   It is the little things (or little people, in this case) that makes yard saling on a Saturday so much fun. It gets you out in the fresh air, walking, interacting with with people you'd probably never meet otherwise.

Later that day I read an article about the increasingly popular online yard sale pages that are popping up all over the place.  I can see how its more convenient to shop this way; perusing photos at your leisure, never having to fight for parking on a side street or rushing to beat bad weather. But isn't half the fun of yard sales actually trying to find them?  Where's the adventure in looking at an online yard sale page to see who's posted what?

When it comes to yard sales- what's more fun, shopping online or in real life?
