It was a rocky road for former Yankees the past few weeks. First Melky Cabrera tested positive, and then pitcher Bartolo Colon. Now, Yankees GM Brian Cashman says it doesn't surprise him.

While on the Michael Kay show, Yankees GM Brian Cashman was asked about the current situation with former Yankee players, Melky Cabrera and Bartolo Colon. His answer is a bit surprising.

Unfortunately, not surprised - You see some spike in performance, you hope it's not the case, but you scratch your head and you wonder at the same time.

The reason why he said he's not surprised by Bartolo's positive test is because he's an older player coming off of surgery. As far as Melky goes, Cashman said that when the team originally traded him in 2009 he was a fourth outfielder, and now a candidate for the National League MVP. Obviously there had to be something going on.
