Francisco Cervelli added an RBI fielder's choice in the fourth inning before leaving with an injury. Ivan Nova tossed seven-and-a-third innings of two-run ball to move to 2-and-1 while Shawn Kelley notched his third save. New York has won three out of four.
Felix Doubront gave up three runs across six-and-two-thirds innings to suffer the loss and fall to 1-and-2 for Boston. Mike Napoli lifted a solo homer in defeat as the Sox lost their third in four games.
The Red Sox are off until tomorrow night when they go to Chicago.
