With spring training just around the corner, Yankees captain Derek Jeter is proclaiming this season will be his last.  The 39-year-old shortstop made the announcement on his Facebook page, saying he is 100-percent sure that 2014 will be his final year playing in the big leagues.

Jeter notes that an injury-plagued season last year helped him reach this decision, saying things that used to come easy and were fun for him have now become a struggle.  He says he wants to soak in every moment of every day this year so he can remember it for the rest of his life.

Jeter is entering his 20th season with the Yankees.  The 1996 American League Rookie of the Year is a 13-time All-Star.  Jeter is a five-time World Series champion with a career .312 average and 256 home runs.
