A unique restoration project is being unveiled Friday. Dennis Hudon and his staff at N.C. Hudon Inc., completely restored a World War Two-era torpedo that's being donated to the Fort Taber Military Museum.

Hudon tells WBSM News the 1944 General Electric torpedo was actually built in nearby Newport.

The 2,800-pound torpedo belongs to 89-year-old Tony Enos, who is donating the item to the military museum.

The re-finished torpedo is being unveiled Friday at 2pm at N.C. Hudon headquarters on Congress Street in New Bedford.
