Radio talk show host John DePetro has left WPRO-AM in East Providence, R.I, according to a post in his personal blog which was also posted on his Twitter page.

According to
WPRI 12, DePetro announced on Dec. 24 that decided to "conclude" his weekday talk show, which airs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

“Thank you to all my listeners for making 2016 my best year ever in radio, with my coverage of the Trump campaign, my many exclusives, plus my national work on The Savage nation and CNN,” DePetro stated in his blog. “I am very grateful for the many loyal listeners who have been entertained by my program on WPRO over the past 10 years.”

In 2008 and 2014, DePetro was awarded "Best Talk Show" by the Associated Press and his talk show was voted "Best Talk Show" by Rhode Island Monthly readers in 2014.
