Woman Killed in Wareham Fatal Accident

Wareham Police are investigating the death of a woman who was hit by a car while walking in the area of the Liquor Locker at Routes 6 and 28 Wednesday night.

According to police officials they received a call about 8:30 p.m. about a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian. The unidentified woman was dead at the scene. The car was traveling eastbound on Rt. 6 & 28 in the travel lane when the woman was hit trying to cross the street.

The Jeep Cherokee was being driven by 22 year old Eric Crowley of Wareham who wasn't injured during the incident which is under investigation by Wareham and State Police.
