A woman was injured in a fire that broke out in a New Bedford home Monday night.

The fire was reported around 8:30 P.M. Monday at 1050 Pleasant Street, a 2 1/2 story residence.

Fire officials tell WBSM News one woman was injured in the fire, which originated on the top floor. The extent of her injuries are unknown at this time.

The fire was extinguished within half an hour, with damage confined mostly to the top floor of the home.
