Woman Gives Birth at Seekonk Truck Stop

Talk about "speedy delivery." Mommy and daddy were driving to the hospital Monday morning, but baby had no plans to wait. Forced to pull off Interstate 195, the woman gave birth in the front seat of their minivan! Emergency responders arrived at the truck weighing station shortly after, and took the eight-pound baby girl and mom to Women and Infants Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. Everyone was healthy, thank God!

It just so happens that the mom is a nurse from the Boston area, and was visiting relatives in Westport before going into labor. It was a surprise to all that baby girl decided it was time to come out. Maybe she just wanted to visit too!
