Woman Attacked And Robbed At Fort Phoenix

A 26 year old woman told Police she was attacked and robbed Monday night in a parking lot at Fort Phoenix in Fairhaven. 

According to Police, the woman said she was returning to her car after a jog, when she was approached by a man who grabbed her arm-band  Ipod and took it. 

The attacker then punched the woman in the abdomen, and ran into some woods north of the parking lot.  The woman later discovered a small puncture wound where she was hit. 

Police from Fairhaven, Acushnet and Mattapoisett searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.  Anyone with information should contact Fairhaven Detectives at 508 997-7421.
