It's official, this has been the snowiest winter on record.

The National Weather Service in Taunton has confirmed that this weekend's winter storm, which dropped almost three inches of snow in Boston, put the region over the top with 108.6 inches of snow for the season.

Now that the record has been broken many folks are ready to put all the snow behind them.

However, Frank Nocera, of the National Weather Service, tells ABC News there could be more snow on the way.

The previous record total of 107.6 inches was set in the winter 1995-96, according to the National Weather Service.
