Though the results of a state sound study of the Fairhaven wind turbines has brought relief to some, there are still questions to be answered.

The DEP study showed that out of 24 sound studies, the turbines exceeded state noise regulations five times, with at least one of those instances taking place last November.

Windwise member Louise Barteau, speaking on WBSM's "More Than Just Talk" program, says something should have been done sooner to shut the turbines down.

The findings were presented by state officials at a meeting Tuesday night at Town Hall.

The Board of Health will wait on recommendations from the Town Counsel and the Selectmen before deciding whether to shut the turbines down.
