A Tremblay's school bus had several windows shattered Tuesday afternoon in a bizarre accident at Bullard Street and Acushnet Avenue.

Det. Capt. Steven Vicente tells WBSM News, a Tremblay bus was attempting to take a corner at the intersection when several bus windows were shattered by ladders mounted on the top of a van parked near the intersection. Capt. Vicente says the ladders appeared to extend into the intersection.

The bus was carrying more than 30 students. As a precaution, the students were loaded onto a seperate bus, and transported to St. Luke's Hospital to be checked out.

Police continue to investigate.
