Will an American Runner win the 2013 Boston Marathon?

The last time an American runner won the Boston Marathon was Greg Meyer, 20 years ago. Do you think an American has a decent chance of winning the 117th Boston Marathon on Monday?

Probably not with the guys, but keep your eye on Desiree Devila, who had a really great race back in 2011. In my opinion, Desiree holds the best odds of an American female runner winning the world's oldest marathon!

By the way, 2011 was a perfect year for the men, too. Geoffrey Mutai of Kenya ran the fastest marathon in history with a time of 2 hours, 3 minutes and 2 seconds! A half million spectators are expected to cheer the runners on!
