Over the next six weeks, the Ebola outbreak in West Africa could sicken 20-thousand people.

Researchers with the World Health Organization and London's Imperial College say the virus could infect 20-thousand people by the beginning of November, unless intensive control measures are launched. The organization's director of strategy says that worst-case scenario is probable only if nothing more is done.

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon last week sent more health workers to West Africa as he announced a one-billion dollar plan to create a special mission to fight the outbreak.
