The Whitfield-Manjiro Friendship Society is recruiting tour guides for its summer season, at both the Whitfield-Manjiro Friendship Museum at 11 Cherry Street in Fairhaven, and the Manjiro Trail.

According to an article from SouthCoastToday.com, information sheets and scripts will be provided during both the training and orientation sessions. Tour guides will also be entitled to uniform and gift shop discounts. Knowledge of Japanese is not required, but a big plus. Hours are flexible.

This is a great opportunity to become familiar with a significant piece of local history.

Those interested should contact Gerry Rooney, President, at 508-995-1219 or by e-mail at: Gerry@WMFriendshipHouse.org.
