Here are some local spots you can head to for shelter if you are currently without power or heat:

FAIRHAVEN

Fairhaven Police and Fire Departments remind all residents that a storm shelter has been set up at the Hastings Middle School in Fairhaven for any resident who is need of temporary shelter for the duration of the winter storm. The shelter will remain open until 11pm tonight unless there are residents who need shelter beyond that time. Residents are advised to call the Fairhaven Fire Department at (508) 994-1428 Ext. 0 to make arrangements to stay at the shelter. We remind everyone that pets are not allowed at the shelter. Residents are further reminded to bring their own bedding, medications and any other personal items or snacks for the duration of their stay.

WAREHAM

The Town of Wareham has opened the Multi-Service Center, located at 48 Marion Road, as a warming center for residents without power as a major snowstorm bears down. The building will serve as a place for people to heat up, charge their phones and regroup before power is restored. Wareham Police said those visiting should arrive with clothes, medication, a blanket, phone chargers and food if necessary. No pets are allowed.

ROCHESTER

The Town of Rochester shelter is located at 66 Dexter Lane, the Council on Aging Building.

MARION AND MATTAPOISETT

A shelter will be opening at ORR High School for Marion and Mattapoisett residents. Please use the entrance closest to the bulldog. Please bring a pillow, blanket or sleeping bag if planning to stay overnight.
