What’s New? Transgender Clinic Opens In Fall River

For transgender people in Greater Fall River thinking about gender reassignment, local help is available.

According to The Herald News, Dr. Kishore M. Lakshman, an endocrinologist and director of the Prima-Care Thyroid Center, has added a Sexual Health Clinic at the site to benefit the transgender community.

Due to Lakshman’s work with the endocrine system and in hormone replacement, he has been seeing transgender patients on a more frequent basis with an increase in the last year.

Lakshman opened the clinic to welcome transgender people to the office and show support to them.

Also, the office has undergone a few changes to welcome their new clients including gender neutral bathrooms, a staff that is welcoming from the first phone call, and updated client forms.
