Father Travassos Park, which is part of Fall River’s Flint Village neighborhood, is set to open sometime within the next two weeks.

According to The Herald News, “the four-acre park includes soccer fields, a splash pool, a playground and a street hockey rink.”  The soccer field, however, will not open until late fall.

Father Travassos Park is set behind Flint Mill and the Espirito Santo Parochial School on Alden Street, and was originally paid for through a $2.5 million state grant.

Once the park is opened, it will join Fall River’s other 22 fields, parks, and playgrounds.
