Something's killing honeybees.

Wayne Andrews, a local entomologist and bee keeper in Dighton says he and other keepers throughout the region have had a multitude of bees die without any warning. Andrews tells WBSM News the culprit seems to be the insecticides sprayed on cornfields close to bee keepers and their hives.

A chemical test of his dying bees revealed poisoning by Lannate, a common pesticide used on corn.

Andrews says one possible solution to the problem is farmers adjusting their spray schedules to when the bees are least active.
