If your house is anything like mine, snow not only marks a change in season, but a shift of harmony within the home too. Not only with my parents, but the kids as well. The kids want to be warm and cozy, but the parents don't want to turn the heat on too early and waste money. We used to get in big trouble if we touched the thermostat without permission. A new study was done to find the temperature that compromises everyone's needs.

It turns out, 71.6 degrees Fahrenheit is the ideal temperature for males and females. Goldilocks would be pleased with this "not-too-hot-not-too-cold" temp. Women are nine times more likely to feel changes in temperature, especially with cold hands and feet.

I am the "typical" girly girl who feels cold when it's 60 degrees. I spent all day yesterday (40 degrees) in sweatpants, big Martha's Vineyard sweatshirt, and my bathrobe (no shame). Quoting the meme Pete sent me yesterday, "I was not made for winter. Give me my flip flops back!"
