The Whaling City Festival may still live on after a discussion between Mayor Jon Mitchell and the festival's planning committee yesterday.

The committee must also keep the festival grounds and surrounding area clean. The mayor tells WBSM news he changed his stance on the closing time after recieving input from others.

The final say on the 9 PM closing time will be up to the Park Board. They will make their decision possibly at their next meeting.
