WHALE Celebrates 49 Years At The International Wine Festival And Auction

WHALE advocates for historically and architecturally significant properties. Without WHALES's efforts, much of New Bedford's history would be bulldozed under. Every year, their signature International Wine Festival and Auction gathers people who want to preserve local landmarks and have a good time! Without the Wine Festival and other yearly events, it would be very difficult to fulfill the mission of saving important historic buildings.

This year, the festival will be held on Friday, Oct. 10 from 5:30 - 9 p.m. in Custom House Square. Under beautiful tents, you'll be introduced to over 150 fine wines from around the world, champagnes from France, cognacs, malt scotches, cocktails and domestic and imported beers. Additionally, over 18 local restaurants and caterers will invite you to sample their food!

In WHALE's 49 year history, they have rescued nearly 50 buildings, including the Zeiterion Theatre. New Bedford has been revitalized through historic preservation. Please support this worthy cause. For ticket information contact WHALE at www.waterfrontleague.org
