Dartmouth Police arrest two men claiming to be from Westport after they allegedly broke into Target early Sunday morning.

Cory Smith and Ontario Barnett were arrested after a brief foot chase and search through a nearby neighborhood. Target security called Dartmouth Police when they saw two men on a security camera wearing masks inside the store at about 2:30am.

The men fled when police arrived and one was arrested after a brief foot chase. The other was eventually found in a nearby neighborhood by a canine unit. Both men claimed to be from Westport, but their addresses could not be immediately confirmed by police.

Police charged both with breaking and entering, as well as vandalism. Smith was also charged with furnishing a false name and possessing burglary tools.
