The Westport Farmers Market opens its summer season at a new location on Saturday, June 17 (8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.) at the Town Hall Annex, 856 Main Road in Central Village.

According to South Coast Today.com, "the market will be set up in the south parking area of the Town Annex, with parking for patrons in the front, north and back lots. The area is more than 8,000 square feet and provides ample space for the many farmers, craftspeople and other vendors who are eager to take part in the market."

The farmers market will have foods from a variety of farmers from Westport and nearby communities.

Consumers will have the opportunity to buy fresh, locally grown food, including vegetables, meat and baked goods.  Other vendors, including artisans and independent sellers of unique local items, will also be at the farmers market. The farmers market will run for 16 weeks through September 30.

"Weekly vendors include Paradise Hill Farm, Skinny Dip Farm, Weatherlow Farms, Ray’s Kettle Corn, Sharon Owens Harris & Friends crafts, Lynn McCarthy jewelry and art, Hidden Gardens flowers and arrangements, Gray’s Grist Mill, Barri Throop jams and flowers, and Steve Connors & Friends Photography."
