WBSM is Looking for Interns to Assist with On-Air and WBSM.com

Are you one of those people that always knows what’s going on around town? Do you love reading the latest headlines, getting the details on city politics and being in-the-know?  If you love these kinds of current events AND love writing, we want to talk to you!

WBSM is looking for interns who are interested in writing about local current affairs, events and all of the things that are unique to the Greater New Bedford area. The qualified applicant must have strong writing skills including proper grammar usage, spelling and punctuation.

Qualified candidates would be able to join our WBSM radio hosts in studio at least three times a week, Monday - Friday between 10am and 3pm and help us employ our on-air, on-line strategy.  Candidates would blog about the current on-air topics, getting quotes from on-air guests, taking photos and grabbing audio/video as needed.  The posts are published on WBSM.com and posted to our Facebook page during that on-air personalities air-shirt to increase audience engagement.

Wordpress knowledge, photography and video editing skills are preferred, but not required. If you’re interested, please use the form below to send us a cover letter, resume and writing examples.
