Water Main Break Causes Early Dismissal At Brockton High School
Brockton High School students will be dismissed at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
School officials say a water main that feeds the city from Silver Lake in Kingston ruptured Wednesday morning in East Bridgewater.
That rupture caused a loss of water pressure in the city causing Mayor Bill Carpenter to declare a State of Emergency.
Other schools in the system will remain open through the end of the day.
However, school officials are encouraging parents with children in Grade PreK-8 to dismiss their children and parents with children in the Extended Day program are being asked to pick up their children as soon as possible.
