Brace for the onslaught of the loud, incessant buzzing of clamorous Cicadas this year, on the East Coast!

This crop of male insects have been waiting underground for 17 years to come out and find a mate! I guess I'd sound like their haunting chirrup if that happened to me, too! The history of Cicadas goes back before the time of Homer! Cicadas do cause harm to crops and trees. And if the droves of of their constant 'musical performance' gets under your skin, just remember that people all over the world eat Cicadas with pleasure ( yum, the females are meatier)!

The good news is they are completely harmless and Cicadas don't bite or sting in any way! I'll end by saying, If Cicadas had gravestones, they might say 'Eternal Vibrate."
