Former congresswoman Gabby Giffords knows gun violence first hand, as she was the victim of a shooting just two years ago.

Giffords, along with her husband at her side, spoke in front of the Senate today about the growing problem of gun violence in America. Giffords was shot at point blank range, and sustained brain damage from the attack. She has a hard time speaking, walking and is partially blind.
