Was Former MA Speaker Sal DiMasi Denied Proper Medical Treatment

WGBH

Former Massachusetts House Speaker, is described by his wife Debbie as being very sick and skinny, having lost over 50 pounds due to stage 4 cancer.

The tongue and throat cancer was a late diagnosis, and Debbie DiMasi is blaming the prison system for dragging its feet in getting her husband timely health checkups! This is both a news story and has a personal connection for me. Sal and I worked together at one of Allston’s most popular nightclubs, The Bacchanal, back in the early ’70′s. Today, the former football standout relies on a feeding tube for survival.
