Some 200 needy kids in New Bedford will be a little warmer this winter, thanks to "Operation Warm" and the Professional Firefighters of Massachusetts.

Boxes containing 200 coats were brought to to the Hayden McFadden Elementary School on Monday.

One hundred-fifty coats will be distributed to school children and 50 others will be handed out at the New Bedford Boys and Girls club.

Firefighters President Ed Kelly says the coat drive is a big success, thanks to generous donors...

The Professional Firefighters are also delivering coats in Holyoke, Lynn and Jamaica Plain in Boston, and hope to expand the program next year.
