Wareham Police Make Arrest Connected to Weekend Stabbing

Wareham and State Police make an arrest in connection with a weekend stabbing in Wareham.

Police took Dominick Alves of Onset into custody at 6 am Tuesday morning at his Onset Avenue home and charged him with assault to murder and a number of other assault charges in connection with the stabbing of John Roche of South Plymouth outside a house party on Shawnee Drive in Wareham.

Roche suffered 3 stab wounds in his back and was taken to Rhode Island Hospital where he is listed in stable condition. Alves is also charged with possession of a small amount of crack cocaine and he's being arraigned in Wareham District court. Wareham Police say the investigation into the stabbing incident is continuing.
