Wareham Shooting Suspect Turns Himself In

Wareham Police say a man wanted in connection with a shooting has turned himself in.

20-year-old Lashii Ortiz turned himself over to authorities at Wareham District Court Tuesday afternoon. Police obtained a warrant for Ortiz's arrest last week after a shooting incident on January 11.

In that incident, witnesses reported a man was being shot at by another male after the two had become embroiled in an argument.

Ortiz, who lists residences in Brockton and Onset, is charged with armed assault with intent to murder, and faces a number of firearms charges.
