Wareham Selectmen voted Monday night not to hire any of three  finalists for the Town Administrator position.According to the published reports,   none of the board's members gave a reason for their decision. The candidates included Michael Dutton the former Oak Bluffs Town Administrator, Carter Terenzini  the current town administrator in Moultonborough, N.H., and Paul Shew who formerly worked in Rye, N.Y.

All three had been the subject of controversy on past occasions. The field of candidates was narrowed over several months and the screening committee and background checker had participated in the process.

Wareham has not had a permanent town administrator since last April when Mark Andrews stepped down from the job he had held since November 2009.  The board opted to wait until a later meeting before exploring their next options..
