A suspect has been arrested in connection with convenience store robbery in Wareham.

Police Chief Kevin Walsh said that at approximately 8:10 p.m. Wednesday the Speedway Gas/Convenience store on Main St. was robbed of cash by a masked male.

The incident was investigated by officers and detectives of the Wareham Police Department who obtained an arrest warrant for 39-year-old Nathan Andrade, along with a search warrant for his residence at #34 Cedar St. in Wareham.

The search warrant was executed at around 2 p.m. Thursday and evidence connected to the robbery, including items of clothing, was recovered.

Officers arrested Andrade at the scene on a charge of Armed Robbery (knife) While Masked.

He was booked at the Wareham Police Department, then transported to Wareham District Court for arraignment.
