Wareham Police rescued a 3 year old child who wandered away from her home Tuesday Afternoon.

Police responded to the Lakeside Trailor Park where the child's grandmother, Valerie Navarro, told them that her autistic grandaughter, Alyvia, had been missing for about 25 minutes. An hour later, after an extensive search by a search and rescue teams, the child was found by Wareham harbormaster assistants at Dick's Pond, about 25 yards from shore in an unresponsive condition.

Paramedics administered cpr and the child was first taken to Tobey Hospital then medflighted to Children's Hospital in Boston where she is currently listed in critical condition. The incident is under investigation by Wareham and State Police.
