Wareham Police Arrest Man Accused of Juvenile Rape in Ohio

WAREHAM — On Tuesday, October 24th, the Wareham Police Department Detective Division and Mass State Police VFAS Unit ended an investigation into the whereabouts of a 45-year-old male wanted in Ohio regarding an arrest warrant issued by the Vandalia, Ohio Municipal Court. The criminal charges on the warrant included 10 counts of Rape and 13 Counts of Gross Sexual Imposition (Ohio law), apparently related to illegal actions against one juvenile aged victim.

At approximately 11:50 am, detectives received information that 45 year old John Dodd, who listed previous addresses in Ohio and Onset, MA, was in a vehicle parked in the Walmart parking lot. After a brief search of the area, detectives located Mr. Dodd, who was then placed under arrest per the issued Ohio warrant without incident. He was also criminally charged with being a fugitive from justice.

John Dodd was transported to Wareham PD, then to Wareham District Court yesterday afternoon.
