A Wareham man faces arraignment today after leading police on a drug-induced car chase.

According to Carver Police, 25-year-old Garrett Callahan was spotted by police doing drugs in his car when he sped off at about 7pm last night. Callahan had run two stop signs and crossed lanes before crashing into a gas pump at Carver Gas and Convenience on Tremont Street.

Police say Callahan then fled on foot and broke into a nearby home where he was soon found by authorities.

Callahan was ordered held without bail at the Plymouth County House of Corrections, and is being arraigned today in Wareham District Court on motor vehicle and drug charges, along with breaking and entering.
