Wareham Man Killed in Single-Car Crash in Lakeville

LAKEVILLE - A Wareham man is dead after a single-car crash in Lakeville Sunday morning.

Massachusetts State Police responded to the crash just before 6 A.M. on Route 140 North between Exits 8 and 9 in Lakeville.

Preliminary investigation reveals the 2007 Toyota Camry was traveling north on Route 140 past Exit 8 in Lakeville when the vehicle went off the right side of the road and struck a tree.

The driver, a 50-year-old man from Wareham, was declared dead at the scene of the crash.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending his family’s notification.
