Two New Bedford men have been charged in connection with a fatal weekend shooting outside of a club in Rhode Island's capital.

The shooting took place early Sunday morning outside of the Monet Lounge in Providence, when 38-year-old Jamal Cruz of Wareham took a bullet to the chest and 36-year-old Rokiem Henley of Brockton was shot in the leg.

Two suspects, 23-year-old Terrell Barros and 22-year-old Stephen Bodden, both of New Bedford, have been taken into custody. Both men were arraigned today in Providence District Court.

The prosecutor, Special Assistant Attorney General Terrence Coyne says Barros was the one who fired upon the two men.

Barros is being charged with murder and is being held without bail. Bodden has been charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, among other charges, and is being held on $35,000 cash bail.
