Wareham Incident Ends Early Thursday With Two Arrests

A possible hostage situation in Wareham ended peacefully early Thursday with two people in custody.

Officers responded around 10:15 Wednesday night to 36 Sunset Boulevard in East Wareham on a report that at least one person was being held against their will.

The Southeastern Mass. Law Enforcement SWAT team was called in after police learned there were four adults and two children in the residence.

The incident ended peacefully around 3am when police arrested 26 year old Spencer Mello of Marion. He's charged with kidnapping. There were no injuries reported and no weapons were found at the scene.

Later in the morning police arrested a homeless woman, 27 year old Jaimee Morris who was found inside the house by D-C-F caseworkers. She was wanted on an unrelated warrant.
