A 3-year-old autistic girl who was found unresponsive in Dick's Pond after wandering away from her grandmother's Wareham home has died.

Wareham Police were called to the Lakeside Trailor Park Tuesday morning where the child's grandmother, Valerie Navarro, told them that her autistic grandaughter, Alyvia, had been missing for about 25 minutes. An hour later after an extensive search by a search and rescue team, the child was found by Wareham Harbormaster assistants at the pond, about 25 yards from shore in an unresponsive condition.

Paramedics administered cpr and the child who was medflighted to Children's Hospital in Boston where she passed a way yesterday afternoon.
