The Cumberland Farms Store on the Cranberry Highway in Wareham was held up early Saturday morning. According to Wareham Police Chief Kevin Walsh, a single male walked into the store armed with a handgun and ordered the clerk to hand over cash from the registers.

 

The suspect fled the area with an undetermined amount of money. There were no reported injuries. The robber is described as a male, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, who was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and had his face covered with a dark colored mask or bandana.

 

Police searched the area to no avail. Anyone with information is asked to call Wareham Police at 508-295-1212.
