Walpole Firefighter And Dartmouth Resident Died Monday

The Walpole Fire Department is mourning the loss of one of their own.

International Association of Fire Fighters Local 2464 announced on their Twitter feed that Dartmouth resident Ryan Ferreira died on Monday after suffering a medical emergency.

The Boston Globe says Ferreira was 31-years-old and leaves behind a wife and a 3-year-old daughter.

He also has a twin brother who is a firefighter in New Bedford.

The Walpole Times says the wake and funeral are to be held Sunday and Monday, respectively, and both in South Dartmouth.

A fund has been set up to help Ferreira's family.
