Congressman William Keating doesn't see Governor Charlie Baker's announcement on Syrian refugees as extreme as others might.

In the wake of the terrorist attacks in Paris, Governor Baker stated today the safety and security of the people of Massachusetts are his first priority and he would have to know a lot more about the federal government's refugee vetting process before allowing them into the state.

Keating addressed reporters today and said it looks to him as if Baker is "hitting the pause button looking for some more information."

Baker joins nearly a dozen other U.S. governors looking to halt the acceptance of Syrian refugees in their respective states.
