Victim, Witnesses Silent after Beetle Street Brawl in New Bedford Tuesday

NEW BEDFORD - New Bedford Police have very little information to work on after a fight resulting in injuries in the near north end Tuesday night.

New Bedford Police responded to reports of a brawl in the area of Beetle Street and Belleville Avenue around 8 p.m. Tuesday, with the fight breaking up as police arrived.

Witnesses to the fight refused to provide any information to the police.

Several hours later, a 29-year-old man reported to police that he was cut in the shoulder and the hand as a result of the fight. However, the victim could not describe his assailant and refused to cooperate with police.
