The Vanity Fair outlet on Faunce Corner Road in Dartmouth was evacuated Wednesday morning over concerns that heavy wet snow on the roof could cause a collapse.

District 3 Fire Chief Richard Arruda tells WBSM's Jim Phillips store personnel heard a loud bang and saw some material fall from the ceiling.

Crews were called to the scene around 10:30 A.M. and the building was evacuated as a precaution.

The building has been closed temporarily.

Chief Arruda says a structural engineer has been called in to assess the roof, and no one will be allowed in the building till that process is completed.
