Vandals broke into the Sylvan Animal Clinic at the Faxon Animal Rescue League on 474 Durfee Street in Fall River on Monday.

According to the Herald News, “Faxon Executive Director John Panarese said when workers came in Tuesday morning, they found that vandals entered the building and painted graffiti on the walls that targeted an employee. They also discovered missing syringes from the clinic rooms.”

Graffiti was sprayed with black paint along the walls in a wave pattern in the breezeway and the reception area. No items appeared to be stolen, except for syringes.

The opening of the clinic was delayed for three hours and the graffiti has been removed.

The incident was reported to police and the alarm system did not go off during the break-in. The system is now being upgraded and surveillance cameras are being installed.
