A Fairhaven woman is arraigned in her hospital room after being involved in a fatal, two car crash early Friday on Route 140 in  New Bedford.

Twenty-six year old Caitlin Chouinard of Adams Street pled not guilty to charges of motor vehicle homocide, operating under the influence of liquor, and negligent operation.

The District Attorney's office says Chouinard was driving a Jeep Liberty northbound around 2am when she lost control.  The vehicle rolled over and was hit by another jeep, and both vehicles became engulfed in flames.

Police say Chouinard managed to free herself, but the second driver, 23 year old Adam Taylor of Acushnet was pronounced dead at the scene.

At Chouinard's arraginment at St. Lukes Hospital, bail was set at $5,000 cash.  She's scheduled to return to court January 24th for a pre-trial hearing.
