Unveiling New “Women In Military Service” Memorial

I hope all the community turns out for the official unveiling of the new "Women In Military Service" memorial on Saturday, May 10 at 10:30 a.m. at the Fort Taber Community Center.

The location of the memorial recognizes, thanks and honors the multitude of women who have served our country with dedication, courage and patriotism in times of conflict and peace. The memorial was designed by graphic designer P.J. Mitchell at Poyant Signs and crafted by Tootel Monument Works.

The $35,000 memorial includes all women in military service from the Revolutionary War to the present. All women veterans and their families and friends are especially requested to attend.
